Colostrum is the milk produced by mammals during the first 48 hours after giving birth and is packed with the immune-system-boosting and growth-promoting nutrients required by newborns. It has been shown that, when taken by adults, it helps fight infection and boost immunity, promotes digestive health and even improves athletic performance. (Among other things, it has been founf to stimulate muscle cell production, balance bacteria in the gut, improve absorption of amino acids, help build strength and aid recovery.) Obviously, getting hold of fresh colostrum is pretty much impossible. Neovite is powdered colostrum taken from New Zealand cows (don't worry, the cows get their share before its grabbed for human consumption). Mix the powder with milk, water or yoghurt.
